About

My research revolves around three of the foremost threats to ecosystems in general: ecosystem fragmentation, pollution, and climate change.  To date I have focused mostly on freshwater and marine ecosystems, but have very broad interests across the natural world.  Currently, I am applying tree-ring techniques to growth rings in long-lived freshwater mussel shells and fish otoliths to address basic and applied questions related to these three primary impacts.
